Now, I know everyone and their mother has already made red velvet cake in the US, but it's not so common at all in France. It's starting to be popularized through the cupcake trend that invaded the Paris bakeries in the last few months. Now people don't go buy croissants and a baguette, no, they go buy cheesecake and cupcakes. True story.
